Eric Tulsky, General Manager of the Carolina Hurricanes, has announced that the team has signed forward Taylor Hall to a three-year contract extension valued at $9.5 million. Tulsky expressed enthusiasm about the agreement, stating, “Taylor has proven to be an outstanding fit for our team, and we are thrilled that he is excited to make Raleigh his home for another three seasons.”
Hall, at 33, completed his 15th NHL season in 2024-25. During this season, he played for both the Chicago Blackhawks and the Hurricanes, contributing 18 goals and 24 assists over 77 games. After joining the Hurricanes on January 24, Hall became a key player, ranking high in several team statistics during the regular season and contributing significantly in the playoffs against the Devils.
Hall made several notable achievements throughout the season, including scoring his second hat-trick of the season in Anaheim on March 23, and playing his 900th NHL game against Montreal on March 28. Before being traded to Carolina, he achieved his fifth career hat trick on November 27 against Dallas and reached his 700th career NHL point on October 22 against Vancouver.
Drafted first overall by the Edmonton Oilers in 2010, Hall has amassed 284 goals, 455 assists, and 739 points through 909 career NHL games across various teams, including Edmonton, New Jersey, and Boston. He reached career-highs in the 2017-18 season, helping the New Jersey Devils return to the playoffs and earning him the Hart Trophy as the league’s most valuable player.
