The Carolina Hurricanes have achieved another season of consecutive sellouts, demonstrating strong support from their fan base. Winning 36 out of 49 games at Lenovo Center, the team made a significant impact during the Stanley Cup Playoffs.
Caniacs, as the fans are known, have extended the franchise’s sellout streak to 117 games at 1400 Edwards Mill Rd. “I think this building, with the crowd the way it is, I’ve got to give them a lot of props, because that is a big deal when you get that momentum going. You feel that energy,” stated Rod Brind’Amour after an April victory.
The team’s sellout streak began on February 24, 2023, shortly after hosting a large crowd at Carter-Finley Stadium for the 2023 Stadium Series. Season Ticket Memberships for the 2024-25 season sold out again. Sara Daniel, Senior Vice President of Ticket & Premium Sales said, “Our fans take so much pride in our team… Whether you are a first-year STM or have been coming for over 20 years, this becomes your family.”
This season saw an average attendance of 18,795 fans per game and marked only the second time in franchise history that every game was sold out. The Canes also raised $235,000 during their Community Preseason Game for Hurricane Helene efforts.
Despite their success on ice and high attendance figures ranking ninth among NHL teams and sixth among U.S. teams this season, the organization maintains affordable ticket prices. They rank in the top-third of the league for lowest average ticket price and offer various discounts to college students, military personnel, and group buyers.
Looking ahead to fall improvements at Lenovo Center aim to enhance fan experiences further.
