Eric Tulsky, General Manager of the NHL’s Carolina Hurricanes, announced that forward Justin Robidas has been assigned to the Chicago Wolves, the Hurricanes’ affiliate in the American Hockey League (AHL).
Robidas, 22, made his NHL debut against Detroit, where he assisted on Eric Robinson’s goal and then scored his first NHL goal in a subsequent game against Boston. He is in his first complete AHL season and stands out for his performance with the Wolves, ranking second in goals (17) and assists (31) and third in points (48) over 65 games. Robidas was chosen by the Hurricanes in the fifth round, 147th overall, of the 2021 NHL Draft. Last season, he played for the ECHL’s Norfolk Admirals, where he tallied 27 points (12 goals, 15 assists) in 32 games. Prior to his professional career, Robidas accumulated 239 points (95 goals, 144 assists) in 223 games in the QMJHL, contributing to the Quebec Remparts’ championships in both the QMJHL and Memorial Cup in the 2022-23 season. Born in Plano, Texas, he plays for Canada internationally and has represented Team Canada White and captained Team Quebec to a gold medal.
Justin Robidas comes from a hockey family; his father, Stephane Robidas, played 15 seasons in the NHL with Montreal, Dallas, Chicago, Anaheim, and Toronto.
