Doug Warf, President of the National Hockey League’s Carolina Hurricanes, has announced that tickets for the team’s home games during the Eastern Conference Semifinal will be available to the general public this Friday at noon. A presale for Season Ticket Members will occur the preceding Thursday at noon. The Hurricanes will face either the Washington Capitals or the Montreal Canadiens in the second round, with game dates and times yet to be determined by the NHL.
“Our fans really brought it in round one, providing the team with a true home-ice advantage that helped the guys dig out of a three-goal deficit to clinch the series last night,” Warf said. “With our sellout streak now at 112 consecutive games, we know that the Lenovo Center will be the ‘Loudest House’ again this round. These on-sales allow our fans the chance to buy the best remaining seats for all potential round two games.”
In the first round of the Stanley Cup Playoffs, the Hurricanes secured a 5-4 double-overtime victory in Game 5 of the Eastern Conference Quarterfinals against the New Jersey Devils on Tuesday night. This win marks the Hurricanes as the fourth NHL franchise to clinch a playoff series in seven consecutive postseasons. Additionally, Head Coach Rod Brind’Amour now joins Pat Burns as the second coach in league history to secure a playoff series win in each of his first seven seasons. The team has also achieved a fifth consecutive playoff series win against New Jersey, a streak beginning in the 2002 Conference Quarterfinals.
