The Carolina Hurricanes have announced their 2025-26 regular season schedule. The team will start its 28th season in North Carolina on Thursday, October 9, facing the New Jersey Devils. Following this, they will embark on a two-week trip to the west during the NC State Fair.
All home games from Monday to Saturday are set for a 7 p.m. start, except for a few specific dates: October 28 against Vegas at 7:30 p.m., November 29 against Winnipeg at 5 p.m., January 19 against Buffalo at 1:30 p.m., and March 28 against New Jersey at 5 p.m. Sunday home games are scheduled for 5 p.m., with an exception on February 1 against Los Angeles, starting at 3 p.m.
Adjustments may occur following announcements related to NC State’s basketball schedule and NHL’s national television schedule. In the upcoming season, the Hurricanes will face each Metropolitan Division team four times except for the New York Islanders and Washington Capitals, whom they will meet three times alongside all Atlantic Division teams.
The Hurricanes finished last season with a strong home record of 31-9-1 at Lenovo Center. They are scheduled for a seven-game homestand from November 26 to December 9 and one six-game road trip during the NC State Fair from October 14-25.
The holiday break includes games in Raleigh on December 23, December 27, and December 29 against various teams including back-to-back Stanley Cup Champions Florida Panthers. The Canes also have their second New Year’s Day home game planned against Montreal Canadiens.
Due to NHL players participating in the Olympics this year, there will be a pause in the league’s schedule from February 6-25. November, January, and March are expected to be busy months with numerous games lined up.
Key matchups include visits from notable teams such as Edmonton Oilers on November 15 and Chicago Blackhawks on January 22. The Boston Bruins will be Carolina’s final home opponent before concluding their regular-season campaign with four away games.
