The National Hockey League has released the 2025-26 regular-season schedules for its 32 teams, including the Carolina Hurricanes. The Hurricanes will begin their season at home against the New Jersey Devils on Thursday, October 9.
The upcoming season features several highlights for the Hurricanes. They will open at home for the eighth time in nine seasons, having won four of their last five home openers. The team will host ten Saturday games at Lenovo Center, an increase from seven in the previous season.
Carolina’s schedule includes matchups against Metropolitan Division rivals, facing teams like the Washington Capitals and New York Islanders three times each, while playing four games against other division opponents such as the New York Rangers and Pittsburgh Penguins.
A notable stretch includes a seven-game homestand from November 26 to December 9, which is their longest since April 2021. The team will also play around major holidays with games scheduled before and after Thanksgiving and Christmas.
On January 1, they will host the Montreal Canadiens in only their second-ever New Year’s Day home game. Additionally, they are set to face defending Stanley Cup champions Florida Panthers three times during the season.
The Hurricanes have a demanding schedule with fifteen sets of back-to-back games and several long road trips, including a six-game trip through cities like San Jose and Los Angeles in October.
“Jarvy’s road trip crew is back!” was shared by Carolina Hurricanes (@Canes) on social media to excite fans about their travel plans for this season.
