Eric Tulsky, General Manager of the Carolina Hurricanes, announced that the team has signed forward Ryan Suzuki and agreed to terms with defenseman Ronan Seeley on one-year, two-way contracts. Suzuki’s contract includes a salary of $775,000 at the NHL level or $130,000 at the AHL level, with a guaranteed minimum of $175,000. Seeley’s contract stipulates a salary of $813,750 at the NHL level or $80,000 at the AHL level.

Ryan Suzuki made his NHL debut with the Hurricanes against the Blackhawks on January 30 and played in two NHL games during the 2024-25 season. He spent most of that season with the AHL’s Chicago Wolves, leading them in points (59) and assists (47) over 69 games. The London native has participated in 230 career AHL games, accumulating 145 points through five seasons since turning professional. He was selected by the Hurricanes in the first round of the 2019 NHL Draft.

Ronan Seeley completed his third professional season in 2024-25 as an alternate captain for the Chicago Wolves. He scored three goals and provided seven assists during that time. The Yellowknife native has played in 197 career AHL games with a total of 49 points. Before turning professional, he played four seasons with Everett Silvertips and served as their captain during the 2021-22 season. Seeley was drafted by the Hurricanes in the seventh round of the 2020 NHL Draft.
