U.S. Senators Ted Budd and Thom Tillis have announced their support for Dan Bishop, the nominee for U.S. Attorney for the Middle District of North Carolina. Bishop is a former U.S. Congressman and has served as Deputy Director of the Office of Management and Budget.

Senator Budd stated, “Dan Bishop is an experienced America First patriot with a distinguished private sector legal career, making him an excellent choice to serve as the next U.S. Attorney for the Middle District of North Carolina. I have no doubt that under Dan’s leadership, communities in North Carolina will be safer, as he will execute the safer streets priorities I share with President Trump to prosecute dangerous criminals, enforce federal immigration law, hold drug cartels accountable, combat the evils of human trafficking, and boldly stand up for law enforcement. President Trump has made a strong choice in nominating him to serve North Carolinians in this new capacity, and I look forward to joining Senator Tillis in supporting his nomination in the Senate.”

Senator Tillis added, “Dan Bishop is an experienced litigator with a deep understanding of the law and a commitment to the safety of our communities. Having served North Carolina at the local, state, and federal levels, he brings a unique and valuable perspective to the Middle District and I look forward to supporting his confirmation as a member of the Senate Judiciary Committee.”
