Representative Brian Echevarria, a Republican elected to the North Carolina State House in 2025 representing the 82nd House district, has recently posted a series of statements on social media addressing issues of taxation, metropolitan governance, and school safety in North Carolina.
On September 26, 2025, Echevarria questioned fiscal policies at various levels of government, posting: “From the town council to the Governor’s Mansion, when liberals say more funding, is it a code for raising your taxes? #ncpol”
A day later, on September 27, he criticized Democratic leadership in urban areas of the state. In his post he wrote: “Liberals have controlled North Carolina’s metropolitan areas for more than 15 years. They are driving them into the ground with high taxes, subpar schools, terrible public safety, and woke policies. #ncpol https://t.co/V9MPWksiMq”
Later that same day, Echevarria commented on legislative efforts regarding school security. He stated: “HB 775 is a logical step in making our schools safer for everyone. #ncpol https://t.co/h6T5RqG1nj”
Echevarria assumed office after winning election to replace Kristin Baker as representative of North Carolina’s 82nd House district.
