Representative Brian Echevarria, a Republican elected in 2025 to the North Carolina State House representing the 82nd district, has recently posted several statements on his Twitter account expressing concerns about government taxation and growth.

On January 1, 2026, Echevarria wrote: “The government acts like your business partner, sharing profits but taking no risks. Are you partners, or just a resident paying taxes? Vicious taxes crush the American dream. #Taxes #AmericanDream #familyisourstory #ncpol #northcarolina https://t.co/lzyRLNtH8P”

Shortly after, he added another post on the same day: “It may make some sense for local governments to grow at a similar pace to the people paying the bills. #ncpol”

Later that morning, Echevarria tweeted: “Terrible reality, it is. Grow up, they must. #cabarruscounty #ncpol @elonmusk @nchousepress https://t.co/mKXdKRbQur” on January 1, 2026.

Echevarria was elected in 2025 as a member of the North Carolina State House from District 82, succeeding Kristin Baker. He represents constituents in Cabarrus County and is affiliated with the Republican Party.
