Representative Brian Echevarria, a Republican serving North Carolina’s 82nd House district, recently posted updates on local safety incidents and legislative developments through his social media account.

On December 6, 2025, Echevarria drew attention to a public safety incident by stating, “Another stabbing in Charlotte on the Light Rail.”

Several days later, on December 9, he commented on property tax reform efforts in the state. In a post that day he wrote, “Great news! @ncspeakerhall has formed a committee to address property taxes. The work of many to reform property taxes continues to advance.” He included the hashtag #ncpol in this announcement.

Later that same day, Echevarria expressed gratitude for his appointment to this new committee. He stated, “Thank you @ncspeakerhall for allowing me to serve on a committee that can deeply impact the future of North Carolina homeowners. #ncpol”

Echevarria was elected to the North Carolina State House in 2025 and represents District 82 after succeeding Kristin Baker. As part of his legislative role, Echevarria is now participating in efforts aimed at addressing property tax issues within the state.
