Representative Brian Echevarria, a Republican member of the North Carolina State House elected in 2025 to represent the 82nd district, addressed several issues affecting North Carolinians in a series of posts on March 16, 2026.

In his first post, Echevarria called for support for disabled veterans in the state. He wrote on March 16, 2026: “A crisis demands bravery: let’s support all North Carolinians. 100% disabled veterans bring proven character, guaranteed income, healthcare, and education benefits. The exclusion pales compared to their immense economic and social contributions. #northcarolina #ncpol”.

Later that evening, Echevarria commented on Cuba’s history under Fidel Castro’s leadership. On March 16, 2026 he posted: “Generations of prosperity vanished in Cuba under Castro’s communist regime, replaced by poverty and suffering. This stark reality should serve as a warning against ideologies that bring destruction. The fight for good against evil is real. #ncpol #northcarolina”.

In another message on March 16, 2026, Echevarria discussed property taxes and their impact on various groups within North Carolina. He stated: “Property taxes have hurt North Carolinians. Some are retirees and disabled veterans on fixed incomes who fear they may not be able to stay in their homes. Some are working families whose mortgage payments rise because of escrow increases. Some are renters who feel the increase”.

Echevarria succeeded Kristin Baker as representative for the state’s 82nd House district following his election in 2025.
